Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Composed by Happy Teams and how it helps leaders navigate high-stakes conversations.
Getting Started
What is Composed by Happy Teams?▾
Composed is a leadership decision-support tool designed to help you prepare for high-stakes workplace conversations.
It helps you:
- See what actually matters in a situation.
- Choose language that moves things forward.
- Hold standards without damaging trust.
It does not replace your judgment. It sharpens it.
When should I use it?▾
Use Composed when:
- A conversation feels tense, loaded, or risky.
- You're unsure how to say something without fallout.
- The stakes are high and guessing feels expensive.
- You want clarity before you speak, not after.
If you find yourself rehearsing a conversation in your head — Composed belongs in that moment.
What makes this different from other tools?▾
Most tools explain people. Composed helps you act.
It is:
- Human, not clinical.
- Structured, not scripted.
- Grounded in real leadership moments, not theory.
You don't get personality essays or vague tips. You get clarity, language, and a clean next move.
How It Works
How does Composed work?▾
You describe the situation.
Composed analyzes:
- Observable behavior in the situation.
- System dynamics at play.
- Patterns of friction that may be present.
- Communication risks you should be aware of.
Then it gives you what you actually need:
- A Quick Brief that explains what's really going on.
- Copy-ready language you can use immediately.
- Guidance on what to watch for and what to avoid.
Everything is designed to be usable within the first screen.
What kind of output should I expect?▾
Clear, usable, and concise.
Each response prioritizes:
- Action before explanation.
- Language you can actually say.
- Judgment support — not scripts or lectures.
You should be able to read it, breathe, and move.
Does it use personality or assessment data?▾
Yes — if you provide it.
When assessment data (Enneagram, DISC, 16-type, Strengths, etc.) is input, Composed uses it silently as context.
We translate assessments into:
- Communication preferences.
- Stress responses.
- Decision drivers.
- Interaction risks.
We do not:
- Label people.
- Define identity.
- Reduce humans to types.
- Repeat assessment results back to you unnecessarily.
You don't need to know what someone is. You need to know how to interact with them well.
Is this coaching, therapy, or HR?▾
No. Composed is none of those.
It is a leadership decision-support system.
- It does not provide therapy.
- It does not diagnose.
- It does not give legal or HR advice.
- It does not replace human professionals.
Its role is narrow and intentional: help you think clearly and act responsibly in workplace conversations.
Privacy, Data & Safety
Can my boss, HR, or company see my conversations?▾
No.
Individual conversations are private by default.
Managers, HR, and administrators cannot view individual transcripts.
Shared organizational context is used only at a system level — not as surveillance.
What happens to my data?▾
Your conversations belong to you.
- We do not train models on your private conversations.
- We maintain strict access controls.
- Data is processed only to provide the service.
Composed is designed to minimize data exposure — not maximize it. Every conversation is automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after its last message.
How do you handle data security?▾
We operate as a data processor, not a data broker.
Security includes:
- Access-restricted environments.
- Encrypted data handling.
- Internal separation of duties.
- Minimal retention policies aligned with purpose.
We collect only what is required to deliver clarity — nothing more.
What about ethical use?▾
Ethics are not a feature. They are a constraint.
Composed is intentionally designed not to:
- Manipulate people.
- Justify harm.
- Enable retaliation.
- Bypass HR or legal processes.
- Dehumanize or label individuals.
If a request crosses ethical boundaries, the system will refuse.
Can Composed help me fire or discipline someone?▾
No.
Composed does not provide guidance on:
- Terminations.
- Disciplinary actions.
- Legal exposure.
- Documentation for protection.
Those situations require HR and legal professionals.
Composed may help with how to communicate respectfully after proper clearance — but it will not make the decision for you.
Safety & Red Lines
What happens if I mention something sensitive?▾
If the system detects signals of:
- Self-harm.
- Severe distress.
- Violence.
- Harassment.
- Legal bypass attempts.
It will pause and redirect you toward appropriate human support or stop the interaction entirely.
This is not censorship. It is containment.
Why was my account locked?▾
To protect people and organizations, Composed has Red Lines.
Immediate lock occurs if there are attempts to:
- Harass or threaten others.
- Bypass legal or ethical constraints.
- Dehumanize or target individuals.
- Use the system for harm.
To protect the whole system:
- Repeated violations can suspend an entire company's access.
- Safety always outweighs access.
Leadership requires limits. So does Composed.
Is Composed safe to use inside organizations?▾
Yes — by design.
Composed was built for:
- Real leadership moments.
- Real consequences.
- Real people.
It prioritizes dignity, clarity, and forward motion — without pretending risk doesn't exist.
